“Moje husí kůže měla husí kůži. Je to pohádka. Hodně ponurá a trochu víc sexy, než pohádky obvykle bývají, a proto je ideální pro děti uvězněné v tělech starců, jako jsem já (kecám - mám tělo jako Adonis, ale jsem skromná). Ale i tak má všechno, co dobře známe: strašidelný hrad, zakletou princeznu, statečného sirotka, chytrá lesní zviřátka. O autorce jsem věděla, že umí dovedně vylíčit atmosféru místa, ale tady mě míra sugestivity přímo bacila do nosu, spolu s pachem rozkladu, plísně a zatuchliny, a pocity stísněnosti, osamělosti a občas i nefalšované paniky. Vztah Barda a Thranduila byl něco ohromně prazvláštního a křehkého a závidím všem těm, pro koho bude tahle povídka jejich první Barduil FF. Milostná scéna byla skvělá, ale mnohem větší sílu pro mě měla scéna s mytím vlasů. Plus body dávám za karty, bloudění ve hvozdu a ptáky. Příběh mě prostě vcucnul. Až si ho budu číst podruhé, sednu si s tím někam do lesa asi mě krásně klepne pepka.”
